Stairlifts in Nigeria

Explore a stair-following access option where the staircase is part of the route between levels. Start with the staircase layout and the practical needs of the person using it.

Different from a passenger or platform lift

A stairlift follows a staircase. It should not be confused with a conventional passenger lift or a vertical wheelchair platform lift. The right category depends on the route, intended use and the available product configuration.

Describe the staircase and the surroundings

Explain whether the staircase is straight or changes direction, where the landings are and whether the setting is indoors or exposed. Share ordinary photographs from safe, accessible positions and existing drawings where available.

Discuss practical access needs

Consider entry and exit space, the remaining route for other staircase users and how the intended user will approach the equipment. Ask the technical team to identify suitable product options and explain any limitations in the proposal.

Start an accessibility enquiry

Contact ROTA with the project location and staircase information. Do not attempt to fit or modify lifting equipment yourself; site assessment and installation need appropriately qualified professionals.
