Passenger Lifts in Nigeria
Bring everyday movement into the building design from the start. Discuss passenger lifts with ROTA for apartment buildings, offices, hotels and other multi-storey projects in Nigeria.
A lift planned around the people using it
The right starting point is the building’s purpose and expected traffic, rather than a cabin finish or a single capacity figure. An apartment development, hotel and office can have different busy periods, entrance arrangements and accessibility needs.
Share how many floors the lift will serve, which floors need an entrance and whether users will carry luggage, deliveries or mobility aids. These details help establish the brief for capacity, door width, cabin layout and the number of lifts.
Passenger lift, traction lift or hydraulic lift?
A passenger lift describes the purpose of the system. Traction and hydraulic describe its drive technology. A machine-room-less configuration describes where certain equipment is accommodated. These terms can overlap within one lift proposal.
The building height, available shaft space, overhead clearance, pit arrangement, electrical provision and maintenance access all belong in the comparison. Ask for a project-specific layout instead of assuming every model fits the same opening.
Planning for a project in Nigeria
Include the city and state in your enquiry so access and site coordination can be discussed. Give the technical team information about the building’s proposed electrical supply and any standby-power arrangement.
Ask how the proposed lift behaves during a loss of power, what any rescue feature does, and what is required for continued operation. A rescue feature is not the same as a system designed to run normally on backup power.
What to compare in a proposal
Review the offered model, rated load, speed, stops, cabin and door dimensions, finishes and control features together with the building works required. Clarify what the price includes, how delivery is planned, and the proposed arrangements for handover, maintenance and replacement parts.
The lowest initial figure is not a complete comparison when proposals cover different equipment or exclude different parts of the project.
Request a passenger lift quote
Send your project location, building type, number of stops and construction stage. Drawings are helpful where available. Unsure about the capacity or shaft dimensions? Describe the requirement and let the project discussion identify what needs to be assessed.
Frequently asked questions
Is a passenger lift the same as a traction lift?
No. Passenger describes the use; traction describes a drive system. A passenger lift can be specified with different drive arrangements depending on the building and selected model.
Can I enquire before I have complete drawings?
Yes. Start with the project location, building use and intended number of stops. Add drawings and dimensions when they become available.
Is there one standard passenger lift price for Nigeria?
No single figure describes every project. The equipment specification, stops, building works, delivery and agreed support scope all affect the quotation.
